Day 1 - ArushaMeals:
On arrival at the Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met by an Albatros Travel representative and driver guide and given a short safari briefing before you head off on your safari. First stop is only a short while away as you overnight at the Mt Meru Hotel in Arusha.

Day 2 - Lake ManyaraMeals: B L D
Today the real adventure begins as you travel to the Lake Manyara National park and the Escarpment Lodge. Set overlooking the lake, the Lodge boasts breath-taking views and luxurious surroundings perfect for a two night stay. After a late lunch you can bike ride to the nearby village of Mto wa Mbu where you can indulge your need to shop for local curios and artefacts and immerse yourself in the diverse cultures of people inhabiting this pretty little village. Spend the later afternoon by the Lodge’s pool before drying off and enjoying the first of your game drives in the Park, returning to the lodge in time for dinner.

Day 3 - Lake ManyaraMeals: B L D
Today you will enjoy a full day game drive in the Lake Manyara National Park. This after noon back at the lodge tea is searved with sweeping views down over the lake. An early evening game drive gives you one of the best chances to witness a kill.

Day 4 - Serengeti National ParkMeals: B L D
The highlight of your safari is up next with a three night stay in the famous Serengeti National Park. The Park is world renowned for its plentiful wildlife and stunning surrounding and you most certainly won’t be disappointed. Soroi Serengeti is set high on a natural plateau with endless views over the vast plains of Musabi, giving you a truly unforgettable African experience. After checking in and enjoying a late lunch you are free to explore the Lodge before your early evening game drive. Dinner is a luxurious affair and the perfect opportunity to catch up with fellow travelers and exchange stories of your safari so far.

Day 5 - Serengeti National ParkMeals: B L D
An early morning game drive is a good idea as it gives you the opportunity to experience the animals at their most active. You can either enjoy a picnic breakfast in the bush or return to the Lodge to enjoy breakfast overlooking the plains. After an exciting morning spend the day relaxing and catching your breath before the afternoon game drive vehicles set off again.

Day 6 - Serengeti National ParkMeals: B L D
This day offers you an incredible chance to view the Serengeti National Park from a different angle as you soar into the skies in a hot air balloon (at an extra cost). Departing at first light, the view of the sunrise from the air is breath taking and a treat awaits you when you come into land for your champagne breakfast in the bush. After indulging in both food and your surroundings you will be transferred back to the Lodge with a game drive on the way arriving back in time for lunch. A last game drive in the afternoon completes an amazing safari experience. A farewell dinner is the perfect place to sit down, remember and plan your next Tanzanian safari.

Day 7 - ZanzibarMeals: B D
Today you will be transferred back to the Kilimanjaro International Airport in time for your flight to Zanzibar. On arrival in Zanzibar you will be met and transferred to The BRAND NEW Hideaway Resort and Spa. Opening on the 30th April, the resort promises to be the finest in Zanzibar.. Enjoy you first evening on the white sands and indulge in dinner under the night sky.

Awake to the sounds of the waves on your first full day on one of the best beaches in the world. With an on sight spa this may be the perfect day to relax and unwind after your safari. Indulge in a massage and a light lunch of fresh seafood before sending the afternoon on the beach.

Day 9 - ZanzibarMeals: B D
This morning you should wake up early and enjoy a stroll on the beach before breakfast. The perfect way to unwind and relax before breakfast. An action packed day is available to you if you wish. With a water sports centre the resort is fully equipped to fulfil any ocean bound activities you may wish to try. After a full day a relaxing dinner under the starts is the perfect end.

Today journey into Stone Town for a tour of all this ancient town has of offer. The slave caves, museum and a spice tour are all on the programme before you return to the hotel for a quite last afternoon by the ocean.

In Tanzania all your transfers and game drives will be in 4x4’s.

Level of ability required:

Although there will be no special strength and fitness requirements, please note that safari lodges situated in remote areas are by their very nature lacking in many of the modern conveniences found in cities. For this reason please be prepared for uneven floors and sometimes challenging access.
You must be able-bodied and have the ability to move independently without help on most of our tours. If you have any specific mobility requirements please contact us beforehand.

Food and dietary information:

The food prepared at the lodges and/or hotels on this tour will be of an international nature and suited to a broad range of visitors. If you have any specific dietary requirements please let us know in advance so that we can inform the lodges and hotels along the route. Alcoholic drinks, unless specifically mentioned in the itinerary, are not included in the price.

Health and vaccinations:

You should speak to your health provider about what vaccinations you will need for your trip to Tanzania. In addition, most doctors recommend taking anti-malarial pills for your visit and following measures to avoid being bitten by mosquitos, such as covering up exposed arms and legs. Lodges will provide mosquito nets over the beds.
If you take any medication, be sure to bring it with you, as well as details of your prescription.

What to wear:

Although Tanzania lies in the tropics it can get chilly in the evenings and early mornings. On this trip we recommend that you include the following in your baggage:
- A pair of sturdy lightweight shoes or boots
- Light coloured clothing with long sleeves and legs for the evenings and early mornings
- A hat to keep the strong sun off your head

Baggage and what to bring:

Important note: If your itinerary includes a leg of the journey on a light aircraft then please be advised that the maximum TOTAL weight allowance including hand luggage is 15kg (approx.. 33lbs) and all luggage must be in a soft bag i.e. NOT a suitcase. These rules are imposed by the airlines and we are unable to make allowances.
We recommend that you do not forget to pack the following:
- Insect repellant cream/spray
- Camera and binoculars
- A torch (flashlight)
- A waterproof/dustproof bag

Visa requirements:

Depending on your nationality you will probably need a tourist visa to enter Tanzania for this tour. The current cost of a single-entry tourist visa is USD 50 per person if traveling on a British Passport and $100 per person for an American passport holder (subject to change) Other nationalities vary in fee’s from free to $50, and these can be purchased on arrival, for most nationals, in all major currencies.
